Silperisone hydrochloride is an organosilicone compound similar to tolperisone that has centrally acting muscle relaxant properties. Silperisone (hydrochloride) is a sodium channel protein type 2 alpha channel blocker that blocks sodium and calcium channels in cells, reduces muscle cell excitability and contraction, reduces peripheral tone, and acts as a muscle relaxant and peripheral vascular dilator.
