Tin(IV) mesoporphyrin IX dichloride enhances the bactericidal activity of the SPaO regimen against chronic Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb)-infected mice. Tin(IV) mesoporphyrin IX dichloride exhibits antitumor effects. Tin(IV) mesoporphyrin IX dichloride is being developed to prevent the development of jaundice in infants with hyperbilirubinemia.
