N-Acetyl mesalazine (N-Acetyl-5-aminosalicylic acid) is the primary intestinal metabolite of 5-Aminosalicylic Acid ( HY-15027 ) and serves as a biomarker for evaluating the efficacy of 5-Aminosalicylic Acid ( HY-15027 ). N-Acetyl mesalazine can scavenge free radicals, reduce DNA base hydroxylation, and ameliorate mucosal inflammation.
