Quassin

Overview

Quassin (Nigakilactone D) is a bioactive triterpenoid from stem bark extract of Quassia amara . Quassin inhibits P. falciparum with an IC 50 of 0.15 μM. Quassin possesses reversible antifertility, anti-estrogenic and anti-plasmodial activity.
