This product is intended for research and analytical applications. 2-Methylacetophenone (O-Methylacetophenone), acetophenone derivative and acaricide, is a xanthine dehydrogenase ( XDH ) inhibitor. 2-Methylacetophenone competitively binds to the XDH active site, blocking the pathway for xanthine to be converted to uric acid. 2-Methylacetophenone can be used for the study of hyperuricemia and house dust.
