Overview

Allyl α-D-galactopyranoside is an α-galactoside and acceptor/donor substrate for transgalactosylation reactions. Allyl α-D-galactopyranoside acts as an acceptor substrate in α-galactosidase-catalyzed transgalactosylation, and serves as a donor substrate to form longer α-galactosyl-containing oligosaccharides.
