N-Mercaptoacetyl-L-histidine is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor with a target pIC 50 of 3.59 M.N-Mercaptoacetyl-L-histidine binds to the zinc-containing active site of ACE, which mediates conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II.N-Mercaptoacetyl-L-histidine can be used for the research of hypertension.
