Glyceocarpin

Overview

Glyceocarpin is a phytoalexin and anti bacterial agent naturally occurring in Glycine max , with weak anti fungal activity. Glyceocarpin serves as the biosynthetic precursor of Glyceollins II ( HY-N18032 ) and Glyceollins III. Glyceocarpin can be biosynthesized by the prenyltransferase and subsequent modification by cytochrome P450 enzymes . Glyceocarpin can be used for the study of soybean root and stem rot caused by Phytophthora sojae .
