Overview

1-(2,5-Dihydroxyphenyl)-3-hydroxybutan-1-one is an inhibitor of iNOS and COX-2 . 1-(2,5-Dihydroxyphenyl)-3-hydroxybutan-1-one inhibits LPS-induced excessive production of NO and PGE 2 , as well as the mRNA expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines TNF-α , IL-1β , IL-6 and IL-12 . 1-(2,5-Dihydroxyphenyl)-3-hydroxybutan-1-one can be used in inflammation-related research.
