Iron(II) sulfate hydrate induces apoptotic morphological changes in cancer cells, and promotes dose‑dependent iron accumulation in rats. Iron(II) sulfate hydrate can be used in studies of leukemia, breast cancer , iron deficiency, anemia, and restless legs syndrome.
