Overview

Lamivudine impurity 9 is an L-oxathiolanyl nucleoside. Lamivudine impurity 9 exhibits anti- HIV-1 activity with EC 50 > 100 μM in human peripheral blood mononuclear cells, and it shows no cytotoxicity even at concentrations up to 100 μM in human peripheral blood mononuclear cells and Vero cells.
