DSPE-Pyrene is a phospholipid molecule with polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon. Pyrene is a fluorescent probe whose spectrum is sensitive to the polarity of its environment. The phospholipid molecule consists of a hydrophilic phosphate connected to two hydrophobic saturated fatty acids by a glycerol molecule.
