Overview

Iodoacetamide alkyne is a cysteine-reactive probe that covalently binds cysteine residues in proteins and peptides to an alkyne group. The alkyne can be used in click chemistry to attach fluorophores or biotin, allowing visualization by in-gel fluorescence or identification by mass spectrometry.
