Overview

16:0-17:0 cyclo PE is a synthetic lipid with a phospholipid head group that has been used as a research tool to study the activity of ion channels and receptors. The compound is an activator of potassium channels and has been shown to inhibit the action of ligand gated ion channels. It is also an inhibitor of sodium channels.It has been shown to bind to some peptides, including vasopressin, at high affinity and with high specificity.
