DLPG, also known as 1,2-Dilauroyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphorylglycerol, is a phospholipid containing lauric acid (12 chain fatty acid) inserted at the sn-1 and sn-2 positions. Its phosphate group is attached to glycerol. The molecule can form lipid bilayer in an aqueous solution and is used in the generation of micelles, liposomes, and other artificial membranes.
