Uses	(-)-Myrtenal is used in the synthesis of antiviral adamantanamine and monoterpene fragments.
Biochem/physiol Actions	Taste at 30 ppm
Anticancer Research	Anticancer activity of myrtenal was tested against the diethylnitrosamine-inducedhepatocellular carcinoma in Wistar albino rats. The apoptosis protein pattern wastaken into account and resulted in upregulation of proteins anti-apoptotic (Ziechet al. 2012; Gautam et al. 2014).
