| Uses | A solution of poly[bis(2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy)phosphazene] (PTFEP) in tetrahydrofuran, methylethyl ketone and acetone may be used to fabricate nanofibers of PTFEP. Electrospun PTFEP nanofiber mat may find uses in tissue engineering, drug delivery, filters and membranes. | | General Description | Poly(bis(2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy)phosphazene), a highly hydrophobic fluorinated organic-soluble polymer is made up of trifluoroethoxy side groups that are connected to alternating phosphorus and nitrogen atoms. Polyphosphazenes are well suited for a variety of surface applications due to their properties such as hydrophobicity, resistance to many chemicals, bio inertness, high fire resistance, and radiation stability. Due to these excellent properties of poly[bis(2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy)phosphazene used in various fields such as membrane research, biomedical materials, battery electrolytes, surface coatings, elastomers, and nonlinear optical (NLO) materials. |
