| BAM (8-22) Usage And Synthesis |
| Uses | BAM8-22 trifluoroacetate salt has been used in the study to identify the functions of Mas-related gene (Mrg) C in the pathogenesis and treatment of bone cancer pain (BCP). | | Biochem/physiol Actions | BAM8-22 is a selective agonist for the sensory neuron specific G-protein coupled receptors (SNSRs). BAM8-22 inhibits development of morphine tolerance in rats. BAM8-22 is inactive at opioid receptors. Also, BAM8–22 is a potent activator of Mas-related G-protein-coupled receptors (Mrgprs), MrgprC11 and hMrgprX1. BAM8-22 produces itch and nociceptive sensations in humans in a histamine-independent manner. |
