It can be enzymatically produced from nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (β-NADP) with the help of ADP-ribosyl cyclase. | | Biological Activity | Ca 2+ mobilizing agent. Initiates Ca 2+ release via type 1 ryanodine receptor (RyR1) activation.
