| N-METHYL-BETA-CARBOLINE-3-CARBOXAMIDE Usage And Synthesis |
| Description | FG 7142 (ZK 39106; LSU-65) is a nonselective benzodiazepine inverse agonist with high affinity (Ki= 91 nM) for the α1 subunit-containing GABAA receptor. FG 7142 also modulates GABA-induced chloride flux (EC50=137 nM) at GABAA receptors expressing the α1 subunit. FG 7142 increases tyrosine hydroxylation and leads to upregulation of β-adrenergic receptors in mouse cerebral cortex. | | Uses | FG 7142 is a benzodiazepine inverse agonist anxiogenic compound. | | Biological Activity | Inverse agonist and anxiogenic agent. Increases tyrosine hydroxylation and causes upregulation of β -adrenoceptors in mouse cerebral cortex. | | Biochem/physiol Actions | Benzodiazepine inverse receptor agonist; potent anxiogenic agent. |
