Purification MethodsDissolve vinylferrocene in Et2O, wash it with H2O and brine, dry (Na2SO4), and evaporate to a small volume. Purify it through an Al2O3 (Spence grade H) column by eluting the yellow band with pet ether (b 40-60o). The low melting orange crystals can be sublimed.
