It has also been used in cytotoxicity assay and to study its effect on lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus multiplication. | | Biochem/physiol Actions | Zoniporide is a potent and selective inhibitor of Na+/H+ exchanger isoform 1 (NHE-1). IC50 = 59 nM at NHE-1, vs. 12,000 nM at NHE-2; Zoniporide inhibits NHE-1-dependent Na+ update with IC50 of 14 nM. |
