Uses	Thulium(III) nitrate hydrate is used as a laboratory reagent. It finds application in optical glasses, structural ceramics, catalysts, electrical components and photo-optical material.
Uses	Thulium(III) nitrate pentahydrate has been used in the synthesis of thulium oxide (Tm₂O₃) nanorods for modified electrode in enzyme-based biosensor analysis.It can also be used to synthesize hydrophilic, microporous lanthanide-organic frameworks.
