UsesIt is an important material in sol-gel production, it provides a hydrophobic surface treatment for inorganic powders or filter materials and it is one of the catalyst components for polyolefin production with Ziegler-Natta catalyst. It is mainly used as construction waterproofing agent/protective agent, inorganic filler surface treatment agent, and pigment dispersant.
Usesn-Propyltriethoxysilane was used for surface modification of titania particles and nanotubes. Propyltriethoxysilane may be used as an organosilicon precursor to prepare O2 sensor platform. They were also used to coat mesoporous silica tablets by the sol-gel technique.
General Descriptionn-Propyltriethoxysilane (PTES) is a mesoporous hyperbranched organosilane that can be used as a grafting agent. It can be used in the functionalization of a variety of substrates by attaching the silane groups with the surface atoms.
