Uses	5-Methyl-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-thiol (Cefazolin EP Impurity E), is a new potent nitrification inhibitors. It is also an intermediate in the synthesis of Thiazolylacetylglycine Oxime (T344230).
General Description	5-Methyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-thiol is a pharmaceutical intermediate. UV and UV/H₂O₂ induced degradation of 5-methyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-thiol has been investigated.
