Uses	Sodium 1-butanesulfonate was used in the synthesis of high silicon content SAPO4-5. It was also used as a mobile phase to separate eight selenium compounds (selenite, selenate, selenocystine, selenourea, selenomethionine, selenoethionine, selenocystamine and trimethylselenonium ion). Ion-associating reagent for HPLC1 and reversed-phase chromatography.
Uses	Ion-associating reagent for HPLC, including analyses of peptides and proteins.
General Description	Sodium 1-butanesulfonate is an anionic detergent.
Biochem/physiol Actions	Sodium 1-butanesulfonate can be used in the preparation of mobile phase for high performance liquid chromatography-inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (HPLC-ICP-MS).
