Uses	Ferrocenemethanol (FcMeOH) is commonly used as a water soluble ferrocene based reference redox system in electrochemical studies. It is used in the synthesis of ferrocenylmethoxy-isatins, potent antiproliferative agents. FcMeOH can be employed in the preparation of ferrocene-carbohydrate conjugates for biosensing applications.
