Uses	N,N-Diethylbutylamine may be used for the regioselective syntheses of of 6-(1,1-dimethylallyl) ortho-flavones. It was used in the synthesis of N,N-diethylbutylammonium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide.
General Description	Light yellow liquid.
Air & Water Reactions	Highly flammable. N,N-DIETHYLBUTYLAMINE may be unstable to prolonged exposure to air. . Insoluble in water.
Reactivity Profile	N,N-DIETHYLBUTYLAMINE neutralizes acids in exothermic reactions to form salts plus water. May be incompatible with isocyanates, halogenated organics, peroxides, phenols (acidic), epoxides, anhydrides, and acid halides. Flammable gaseous hydrogen may be generated in combination with strong reducing agents, such as hydrides.
Health Hazard	ACUTE/CHRONIC HAZARDS: N,N-DIETHYLBUTYLAMINE is flammable and should be kept away from any heat source of heat or ignition.
