| Biochem/physiol Actions | In bacteria, the membrane integrated glucose dehydrogenase catalyses the conversion of glucose to gluconic acid. It uses pyrroloquinoline quinone as a coenzyme. The intracellular glucose dehydrogenase lack this cofactor. It is a nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NADH) dependent enzyme. |
