ETHYL LINOLEATE Usage And Synthesis

Uses	Labelled Ethyl Linoleate (E924300). A fatty acid alkyl ester used in the vitamin industry.
Uses	ethyl linoleate (vitamin F) is an emollient and an essential fatty acid.
Uses	Ethyl linoleate can be used as a drying agent for alkyd paints. It can also form N²,3-ethenoguanine via reaction with deoxyguanosine.
Definition	ChEBI: A long-chain fatty acid ethyl ester resulting from the formal condensation of the carboxy group of linoleic acid with the hydroxy group of ethanol.
General Description	Ethyl linoleate can undergo auto-oxidation in the presence of the catalyst manganese(II)acetylacetonate.
Flammability and Explosibility	Nonflammable
Biochem/physiol Actions	Ethyl linoleate solated from Oxalis triangularis inhibits forskolin-induced melanogenesis and tyrosinase activity in mouse B16 melanoma cells . This anti-melanogenic effect is mediated by inhibiting cAMP production.
