Uses	The product was used as a precursor for the preparation of luminescent lanthanide(Ln) nanoparticles for biosensing and imaging.1 It was used to study the pre-concentration and its removal of Gd (III) from laboratory waste aqueous effluent by using a poly hydroxamate (PHA) chelator.
Uses	Used as neutron poison in nuclear reactors, as raw material for Gadolinium compounds, and in the production of Gadolinium oxide (Gd₂O₃) nanoparticles.
General Description	Crystal symmetry of Gadolinium (III) nitrate is triclinic. Its a highly water soluble crystalline oxidizing agent. It forms Ga₂O₃ upon heating to temperatures 500^oC.
