Uses	It is employed in the synthesis of biseugenyl succinate and bis(4-maleimidephenyl) succinate. It is also used as used as an important raw material and intermediate in pharmaceuticals, organic synthesis, agrochemicals and dye stuffs. It is also applied as hydrolytic reagent for the determination of water.
