| AC-LYS-OH Usage And Synthesis |
| Chemical Properties | Nalpha-Acetyl-L-Lysine is white to almost white crystalline powder
| | Uses | Nalpha-Acetyl-L-Lysine is an antibacterial lysine analogue that targets lysine riboswitches. Nalpha-Acetyl-L-Lysine is used in the metabolomic characterization of ovarian epithelial carcinomas which allows fo r better therapeutic management of patients. The presence of Nalpha-Acetyl-L-Lysine and other N-acetylated amino acids in the urine can be used to detect aminoacylase I deficiency.
| | Uses | Nα-Acetyl-L-lysine is a biologically available N-terminal capped form of the proteinogenic α amino acid L-lysine. Nα-Acetyl-L-lysine is a substrate used to study and characterize lysyl oxidize(s). | | Definition | ChEBI: An acetyl-L-lysine where the acetyl group is located at the N2-posiiton. | | Synthesis Reference(s) | Canadian Journal of Chemistry, 43, p. 991, 1965 DOI: 10.1139/v65-131 |
