Uses	Manufacturing bromides, photographic compounds, phosphors.
Uses	Barium bromide dihydrate is used to purify radium and make zinc bromide. It also used ?precursor to chemicals used in photograph.
Hazard	A poison.
Purification Methods	It crystallises from H2O (1mL/g) by partial evaporation in a desiccator. [Ehrlich in Handbook of Preparative Inorganic Chemistry (Ed. Brauer) Academic Press Vol I p 930 1963.]
