| Industrial uses | This family of elastomers is produced by therandom chlorination of high-density polyethylene(Polyethylene, chlorinated).Chlorinated polyethylene elastomers areused in automotive hose applications, premiumhydraulic hose, chemical hose, tubing, belting,sheet packing, foams, wire and cable, and in avariety of molded products. Properties includeexcellent ozone and weather resistance, heatresistance to 149°C (to 177°C in many types ofoil), dynamic flexing resistance, and good abrasionresistance.
