Blebbistatin is highly light sensitive, and photobleaching can reverse its effect completely. Blebbistatin is a commonly used as excitation-contraction uncoupling agent in cardiovascular physiology. Blebbistatin controls the inhibitory effect of thrombin on intercellular Ca2+ wave propagation.
