Cy7 maleimide

Overview

Cy7 maleimide is a near-infrared dye and is an analog of Cy7 maleimide. MAL selectively reacts with free thiol, sulfhydryl, or mercapto group via Michael addition to form a stable carbon sulfur bond and thus this reagent can attach near infrared (NIR) Cyanine7 dye to proteins with free sulfhydryl groups and the yielded labeled proteins can be obtained for NIR bioimaging applications.
