Overview

DSPE-Azide is an azido phospholipid molecule with a hydrophilic phosphate head connected to two hydrophobic saturated fatty acids by a glycerol molecule. In water, the molecule can orient itself into lipid bilayer and can be used for drug encapsulation, such as drug loaded liposomes or nanoparticles. The molecule can react rapidly with cyclooctyne, such as DBCO/BCN or with terminal alkyne in the presence of Cu Catalyst. Please contact us for GMP-grade inquiries.
