NHS-PEG1-SS-PEG1-NHS is a homobifunctional PEG linker featuring two NHS groups linked at a disulfide bond. NHS is easily displaced by nucleophiles such as amines while the disulfide bond is cleavable under reducing conditions such as those found in the cell cytoplasm.
