Salvicine

Overview

Salvicine is a DNA topoisomerase II inhibitor ( IC 50 =3 μM). Salvicine increases the interaction between DNA and Topo II by interacting with the ATPase domain, inhibiting DNA degradation and ATP hydrolysis. Salvicine has anticancer activities, including inhibiting Topo II , causing DNA damage, overcoming multidrug resistance, and inhibiting tumor cell adhesion.
