Pitrazepin is a GABA A receptor antagonist and glycine receptor antagonist. Pitrazepin blocks synaptic GABA action, induces neuronal bursting and reduces inhibitory postsynaptic potentials. Pitrazepin can be used in research on depression and psychosis.
