Overview

D-Erythro-sphingosine-1-phosphate is a phosphorylated sphingoid base and catabolic intermediate. As a component of the intracellular second messenger system, D-Erythro-sphingosine-1-phosphate induces rapid translocation of calcium ions in fibroblasts and acts as a mitogen. D-Erythro-sphingosine-1-phosphate also effectively inhibits the motility of melanoma cells, and can be used in the research of melanoma and other related diseases.
