Overview

Eliglustat hemitartrate is a specific inhibitor of glucosylceramide synthase. It is under development as an oral substrate reduction therapy for Gaucher disease type 1 (GD1). It was developed by Genzyme Corp and has been listed by the FDA August 2014.
