Ethyl 4-methyloctanoate is an ethyl ester derivative of 4-Methyloctanoic acid (HY-W010178), which acts as a brain radioretention reagent and a liver radioclearance reagent; its radiolabeled form is used to conduct brain fatty acid metabolism tracing experiments.
