Auranofin

Overview

Auranofin appears to induce heme oxygenase 1 (HO-1) mRNA, as an inhibitor of thioredoxin reductase (TrxR) (IC50 = 20 nM; Ki = 4 nM for the NADPH-reduced form of human cytosolic TrxR).
