Memantine hydrochloride

Overview

Memantine is the first in a novel class of Alzheimer's disease medications acting on the glutamatergic system by blocking NMDA receptors.It is also a CYP2B6 and CYP2D6 inhibitor for recombinant CYP2B6 and CYP2D6 with Ki of 0.51 nM and 94.9 μM, respectively.
