Benzamil hydrochloride

Overview

Benzamil hydrochloride is a Na+/Ca2+ exhanger (NCX) inhibitor (IC50 ~ 100 nM) and an epithelial sodium channel (ENaC) blocker. Benzamil is an analogue of amiloride, and it is potentially used for the treatment of cystic fibrosis.
