Alterporriol C

Overview

Alterporriol C is an alternariol-type anthraquinone dimer isolated from the fungus Alternaria sp. ZJ-2008003, with antibacterial and antiviral activities. Alterporriol C inhibits the growth of Escherichia coli and Vibrio parahaemolyticus (MIC = 2.5 μM), and suppresses the replication of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus ( PRRSV ) ( IC 50 = 39 μM). Alterporriol C can be used in studies related to bacterial and viral infections.
