BO-TAP-1

Overview

BO-TAP-1 is a cyan fluorescent carbocyanine dye that selectively binds to nucleic acids, remaining nonfluorescent until bound to dsDNA. It provides bright fluorescence with low background, making it ideal for nucleic acid staining on microarrays, nuclear and chromosome counterstaining, and multicolor labeling. BO-TAP-1 is used for cell and bacteria detection, nucleic acid sequencing, amplification, and as a temperature sensor.
