Sonchuside A ((+)-Sonchuside A) is a sesquiterpene lactone found in the roots of Taraxacum obovatum and Taraxacum bicorne . Terpenes are the most numerous and structurally diverse natural products found in many plants . In vitro, preclinical, and clinical studies have demonstrated that terpenes exhibit broad and important pharmacological properties in the treatment of cancer , malaria, inflammation, and various infectious diseases.
